### Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIA)
Market-linked growth with a zero-loss floor. Principal is protected from market downturns while still participating in index gains. Often paired with an income rider for guaranteed lifetime income.

### Indexed Universal Life Insurance (IUL)
Permanent life insurance with a cash value account tied to a market index. Grows tax-deferred, accessed tax-free via policy loans, has no RMDs, and passes to beneficiaries income-tax-free. Used as a Roth alternative for high earners and as a supplemental retirement income vehicle.

### Medicare Planning
Independent guidance on Original Medicare + Supplement vs. Medicare Advantage plans. Includes carrier comparison across all available TX plans. No quotas or carrier affiliations — recommendation is always based on the client's situation.

### Multi-Year Guaranteed Annuities (MYGA)
Fixed-rate annuities that lock in a guaranteed interest rate for a set term (3–10 years). CD alternative with tax deferral and no market risk.

### Roth Conversion Strategy
Partial IRA-to-Roth conversions structured over 5–7 years to fill current tax brackets before TCJA rates expire at end of 2025. Requires outside funds to pay the tax. Not appropriate for clients living off IRA distributions or leaving their IRA to charity.
